Please note: Dogs are prohibited in Ambury Regional Park at all times for the protection of wildlife and farm animals.
All registrations will be in the registration tent at the venue. Registration is the process during which you pick up your goodie bag and receive all the information you need for event day. If this is your first entry to the 2010 series, you will receive a complimentary ASICS t-shirt.
You will also rack your bike in transition so allow some time to familiarise yourself with the layout of the bike compound and the run and bike entry and exit points. We'll have a team of volunteers to help you! We have security looking after the bikes over night.
Parking for this event is available in the adjoing paddocks off Ambury Road on both registration and event days, and off Kiwi Esplanade on event day.

REAL Women's Duathlon Course - Ambury Regional Park
Pre-Race Briefing and Marshalling Point
Your event starts at 9am. We would like all participants to be ready for the briefing and warm-up at 8:20am. Therefore we would be happy if you arrive at the venue at around 7:45-8:00am so we can organise you all with the briefing, a warm-up and then marshal you for the start.
Times are as follows:
8:20am Briefing to take place
8:35am Warm-up
8:45am Marshalling into groups by your wave number
9:00am 1st Waves start! (Note: there could be more than 1 wave starting at each interval)

Walk/Run 1 - 3.5km
This is a lovely run and you will realise why David Lange loved the Mangere area so much!
Start at the Ambury Regional Park end of Kiwi Esplanade on the Reserve.
Follow the seaward trail. Make a U-turn just before the Mangere boat ramp on Kiwi Esplanade..
Return along the seaward side of the road.
Follow through to the Loop Road entrance gates into Ambury Regional Park.
Follow the road and turn right alongside the transition.
Transition – walk/run to bike
Transition has a slightly downhill slope leading towards Ambury Road. Look for the bike exit signs. Please don’t mount your bike until reaching the ‘mount line’on Ambury Road.
Bike Course - 10km
After leaving the ‘mount line’ on Ambury Road.
Turn Left onto Muir Avenue.
Turn Left onto Sullivan Avenue.
Turn Right onto Boyd Avenue.
Turn right onto Wallace Road.
Follow this road to the intersection of Mountain/Creamery & Kirkbride Roads.
Turn right onto Creamery Road and follow this road it turns into Greenwood Road.
Make a U-turn at the intersection of Island Road and Greenwood Road.
Return on the same course to Turn Left onto Muir Avenue.
Turn Left Onto Ambury Road.
Proceed to ‘dismount line’ on Ambury Road.
Transition - bike to walk/run
Dismount your bike as you enter the main gates at Ambury Regional Park. Cones and barriers will direct you into the transition. Look for the colour of your row and you will find your transition spot.
Walk/Run 2 – 1.5km
This run course is unique – right through the centre of the farm. The course runs along the Foreshore Walkway. You won’t believe you’re in the middle of Auckland!
Exit transition and enter Lookout Paddock. Cones will direct you across to the Foreshore Walk.
Follow the Foreshore Loop trail and enter through the gates into the camp ground paddock.
Follow the well worn trail that brings you back behind the Park Rangers house.
The finish area will be between the Pohutakawa trees.
